Information for Schools

Under the Non Government Schools Transport Assistance Scheme (NGSTAS), there are two programs:

Through the NGSTAS, each semester parents/carers have the opportunity to apply for assistance for student transport costs to and from school.  Applications can be made online during the month of May for Semester One and October for Semester Two.  Parents/carers are encouraged to apply online, but NGSTAS understands that not all parents/carers are able to do so and therefore we ask for assistance from the school.

***Schools have an additional week (first week of June/November, whichever is relevant) to enter applications***

 

BUS FARE ASSISTANCE

The family must spend more than the weekly threshold on fares.  The weekly threshold for Semester 1 2014 is $25 per family ($20 per concession family, for applicants who hold a current Health Care, Pensioner or Veterans Affairs Pensioner card).

The school can download a BFAP paper application.  Staff can ask the parent/carer to complete the form and return it to the school, so the staff member can enter the application online, as per below.

STUDENT WITH DISABILITIES

The Guidelines for eligibility for Students with Disabilities rebate are available here.

The school can download an SWD paper application.  Staff can ask the parent/carer to complete the form and return it to the school, so the staff member can enter the application online, as per below.
